The University Without Walls (UWW) became our core leadership development program in 2016 and it includes a comprehensive and intersectional curriculum. Currently, over 120 leaders and community members complete our in-person courses each year, and we are aiming to augment our reach with a digital curriculum.
UWW courses include:
- “Community Organizing School” (8 hrs), covering storytelling techniques, one-on-one basis, building winning campaigns, and digital organizing
- “Community Protection School” (8 hrs), covering know-your-rights workshops, welcoming resolutions, the path to power, and circles of protection
- “Political Education School” (8 hrs), covering root causes of migration, gender equity, and LGBTQ rights, ideology, and anti-blackness, racism and white supremacy
