Florida Immigrant Youth Network

FLIC Member Since: 2011

Members: High school and college age youth throughout the state, including members and allies from the following groups: SWER (Students Working for Equal Rights), Poder, Ruskin, Eperana Juvenil, Sin Fronteras, Young American DREAMers, United We DREAM Tampa Bay, CHISPAS, the Interfaith Alliance for Immigrant Justice (IAIJ), Advocates for Immigrant and Refugee Rights (AIRR) undergrad and law.

Lead Organizers: The steering committee is comprised of a representative from each region of the state; North, Central, South and Miami, as well as a state-wide policy person.

Organizers: FLIYN has a Core leader from each of the member and ally groups represented.

FLIYN is a youth led grassroots organization that has come together to organize around immigrant rights and social justice issues on a statewide level. The goal of FLIYN is to empower and educate their communities around immigrant issues, primarily those facing young people.
