We Are FloridaWe are Florida! is FLIC’s legislative campaign that began in 2011 in response to anti-immigrant laws filed in Florida’s legislature. That year, over 3,000 Floridians mobilized to Tallahassee to tell Governor Scott and our House and Senate legislators that “WE ARE FLORIDA!” and that we don’t want anti-immigrant laws in our state. Since 2011, every year during Florida’s legislative session, the Florida Immigrant Coalition and its members and allies, work together under the “We Are Florida” campaign to promote the legislative priorities for immigrant families and workers in the sunshine state
