Deferred Actions for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) and The Dream Act

The Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) was a program started by President Obama in 2012. DACA allows some undocumented young people, who came to the U.S. as children, to work and stay in the country for two years. Although a victory for our communities, DACA remains a temporary solution. President Trump’s administration attempted to terminate the program – an action halted by the supreme court. Our campaign continues to support DREAMERs and to advocate for a permanent solution with a pathway to citizenship.
