THE “REMEMBER NOVEMBER” FARMWORKER CARAVAN VISITS PALM BEACH COUNTY

(August 14th 8 am to 6 p.m. and August 18, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.)

The “Remember November Farmworker Caravan” (Aug. 4- Sept. 8) will join other groups visiting the home offices of congressmen in 27 districts in Florida in the month of August.

“We know that they are in their local offices because they are on a five-week break from congressional session,” said Tirso Moreno, general coordinator of the Farmworker Association (FWAF) in Apopka. “We understand they don’t even have immigration reform on their agenda when they return to Congress in September so we are here so they don’t forget our cause.”

The Caravan will visit Palm Beach County Wednesday, August 14th and Sunday, August 18th. Palm Beach County has the largest number of farm workers of any county in Florida.
